Heaven on Earth Society for Animals is proud to announce our new Spay & Neuter Transport Service, which launched in October 2008. Working in conjunction with FixNation, we offer FREE transportation services to the community in an effort to help control the feral and tame cat population in the San Fernando Valley.

FixNation Feral & Tame Cat Spay/Neuter Clinic is a sister organization to Best Friends Catnippers. FixNation's clinic, located near the Burbank airport, offers free spay and neuter services for ferals and low-cost spay and neuter services for companion animals. Vouchers are available through Los Angeles Animal Services and other animal rescue organizations for companion animals belonging to Los Angeles residents. FixNation's clinic also offers low-cost vaccinations, de-worming and flea treatment.

Heaven on Earth will pre-schedule an appointment for clinic service and a time to pick up your cat(s) from a designated location the morning of spay/neuter. Pick-up service begins at 6 am. (FixNation requires that cats be dropped off at clinic no later than 8.) Cats will be returned to you between 4 and 6 pm to the same designated location.

Requirements and further information:

* All service fees for the procedure(s) are to be pre-paid in cash at morning drop-off.

* Paperwork must be completed prior to transport appointment (HESA Application, FixNation Application & FixNation Admission Form).

* Feral caretakers must complete FixNation Colony Application.

* Feral cats must be in a humane trap. Companion cats must be in a secure carrier.

* Adult cats should not have any food or water after midnight the night before surgery. Kittens under four months may (and should) have food and water up until 6 am the morning of surgery to ensure their blood sugar levels do not drop too much.

* Applications and waivers can be sent to you by email, fax or post mail.

* We can assist you in obtaining vouchers for your companion animals.

* Please note: FixNation does not spay or neuter tame cats who are 5 years or older and instead recommends that you take your cat to a full-service veterinarian. Please feel free to contact them for referrals.
